Classic Carlectables Holden HX Monaro Tuxedo Black

$29999

Classic Carlectables Holden HX Monaro Tuxedo Black is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

The Holden HX Monaro GTS, launched in July 1976, was a bold and eye-catching evolution of the HJ, featuring striking new styling and vibrant colours. More than just a cosmetic upgrade, it was built to meet new ADR 27A emission standards, though these regulations came at the cost of power and fuel efficiency.

What truly set the HX Monaro GTS apart was its distinctive design, with a refined grille, large GTS decals, colour-keyed bumpers and mirrors, and optional bonnet black-out and body-coloured spoilers. It was also one of the few Australian muscle cars to retain its V8 performance heritage despite tightening emissions laws.

Interestingly, the HX also introduced a primitive anti-lock braking system—a rare innovation at the time—though it only operated on the rear wheels. This Monaro carried on the rugged durability of the HQ series while adding more comfort and style, making it one of the most memorable four-door Monaros ever produced.

This 1/18 scale replica model is represented in the Tuxedo Black colour scheme. This sleek, deep black finish contributed to the vehicle's distinctive and bold appearance, enhancing its muscular design and complementing features like the refined grille and prominent GTS decals, including special "Gold-outs" instead of the standard "Black-outs" exclusive to the Tuxedo Black models. The HX series offered a range of vibrant colours, with Tuxedo Black standing out as a classic choice among enthusiasts.
