The Hawker Sea Hurricane was created as a naval variant of the legendary RAF fighter Hurricane. Urgently needed in 1941 to escort convoys, regular Hurricanes were equipped with hooks and reinforced landing gear. The Mk.IIC version had an improved armament with four 20mm Hispanic guns and proved to be extremely effective against German long-range reconnaissance aircraft. Today, only a few examples have survived, which makes this model kit a special way to pay tribute to this historic aircraft.
