History:
The Mosquito B.XVI, introduced in 1944, was a high-altitude bomber equipped with a pressurized cabin and capable of carrying a devastating 4,000lb bomb. Its unmatched speed and precision made it a formidable force in the final stages of WWII.
Post-war, the B.35 variant—powered by Merlin 113/114 engines—was converted into TT.35 target tugs by Brooklands Aviation Ltd. These aircraft served with Civilian Anti-Aircraft Cooperation Units until 1963, towing fabric targets using a wind-driven ML Type G winch system.
This kit not only offers a rewarding build experience but also tells the compelling story of the Mosquito’s versatility and enduring legacy.
